About Rose
For years, wine was simply part of life. The reward at the end of a long day. The release valve when the pressure got too much. The thing that made Friday feel like Friday.
As a single mum with a demanding job, I was carrying a lot. Alcohol was always there - easy to reach for, reliably comforting, and woven into the good times too. Evenings with friends, celebrations, the moments that needed marking. It wasn't just about stress. It was about living too.
But somewhere along the way, it had become something else. Something I relied on more than I wanted to. Something that had quietly moved into the driving seat.
That realisation didn't arrive loudly. It arrived at 3am.
The questioning started slowly. I wasn't sure if I should take it seriously - I didn't fit the picture of someone with a problem. But the question kept coming back. And eventually I stopped trying to answer it and started asking a different one.
What do I actually want for myself?
That shift changed everything. Two years on, I'm living proof that change is possible - and that it doesn't have to look the way you think it will. I'm sleeping better, thinking more clearly and showing up in my life in ways I hadn't realised I'd stopped doing.
I trained as a Positive Psychology Coach and completed specialist training in alcohol coaching with Andy Ramage, one of the leading voices in this field. But more than my qualifications, I bring something that no training can give - I've sat where you're sitting. I know what that quiet questioning feels like from the inside.
Qualifications and Training
I also know what it feels like to try on your own and find it harder than you thought it should be. For years I set rules for myself - and found myself breaking them. Repeatedly. Not because I was weak. But because change is genuinely hard without the right support.
What made the difference for me was coaching. Having someone beside me, encouraging me, helping me understand what was really going on. Realising I wasn't alone - and that this happens to so many amazing, intelligent women who simply haven't found their way through yet.
That's what I want to give you.
Who I'm here for
You don't have to have lost everything. You don't have to be sure you have a problem. You just have to have a feeling that something has to change - and a readiness, however tentative, to explore what that might look like.
If that's you, you're in exactly the right place.
